Request Category: Private Individuals

Question Number 1:
Who holds trust wide responsibility for the maintenance of procedures and policies

Answer To Question 1:
Accountability sits with the Chief Executive. The policy management framework is owned by the Corporate Governance team.

Question Number 2:
What digital tools does the trust use for the staff to reference these procedures and policies - ie - intranet

Answer To Question 2:
The Trust uses Microguide, a web and app based system.

Question Number 3:
How does the trust record that staff have read and comply with the procedures and policies

Answer To Question 3:
All employment contract terms and conditions reference compliance with Trust Policies and Procedures. There is no central record of this information. The Microguide system has an audit function which indicates how many people have read a document.

Question Number 4:
Which tools are used for on-boarding new staff in relation to reading procedures and policies

Answer To Question 4:
Generally, all new staff are informed that a majority of policies and procedures can be found on Microguide.

Line managers point staff in the direction of those policies and procedural documents which are applicable to their role as part of the local induction.

Question Number 5:
How do the heads of department monitor that clinical and non clinical staff have read/understood mandatory procedural updates

Answer To Question 5:
Any required mandatory training is tracked via our 'Learn' system. Updated procedural documents are communicated via Trust Comms.
