You can have an x-ray of most parts of your body including all your bones, lungs, abdomen, teeth. For each different part of the body you will be asked to stand, sit or lie in a precise position by the radiographer. Each area of the body has specific views which are important to achieve to allow for the Radiologist or Advanced Practice Radiographers to report on them – all x-rays have a formal report.
Your x-rays will be reviewed and you will hear about the results in one of 2 ways
Could you be pregnant?
If you may be pregnant please let the Radiographer know BEFORE you have your x-ray.
